Multiple simulation models for healthcare operations have been developed and proposed during past years, with different levels of abstractions and validations, using various modelling techniques such as Discrete Event Simulation (DES). This presentation aims to depict a systematic literature review on the multiple existing models in this domain. Different conclusions can be acquired, e.g. regarding the type of data needed for their construction, the use of the modelling technique, the process of development among others. Moreover, a focus is done on the capacity of these models to be integrated in digital twins.
