Transportation problems in low-density areas, such as peri-urban and rural areas, are specific because of the long distances involved. In the context of transporting people, such long distances cause the scarcity of public transportation systems because of their lack of economic profitability. In order to address such issues, we evaluate the performance of a high-level ride-sharing system with a multi-agent approach.
